Mirror Impossible!

Mirror Impossible!

I didn’t expect a mirror to be the thing that finally made my apartment feel like home.

For months, I’d been trying to make the space work—rearranging furniture, adding plants, even swapping out throw pillows like it was a hobby. But something still felt... off. It was like my apartment had all the ingredients of a cozy home, but none of the flavor.

Then came the mirror.

I wasn’t even looking for one, really. I just stumbled across this round mirror with a woven rope frame—organic, warm, quietly bold. I didn’t think it would change much. But when I hung it on the wall above my console table, something clicked.

Suddenly the space felt brighter. Bigger. More alive. Light from the nearby window bounced around the room, softening everything. It gave the space a pulse.

I started noticing things after that—how reflective surfaces bring depth to small rooms, how certain textures make you feel grounded, how one piece can completely shift the mood of a home. The mirror became more than an object; it was a turning point. The beginning of me styling my space intentionally, not just filling it.

I layered a vase of dried flowers in front of it. Added a sculptural candle. Placed a few of my favorite books underneath. It became a mini sanctuary—one that welcomed me every time I walked in.

It wasn’t about making the place perfect. It was about making it feel mine.

Your space doesn’t need to be big or brand-new to feel beautiful. Sometimes, it just takes one piece to reflect who you are.
